Amazing and awesome location in a lovely Georgian square in a lovely area. Central heating, coffee/tea makers and television available in the twin room. Comfortable bedroom and exceptionally comfortable beds.

Peaceful and convenient location and easy access to a museum and a theater stroll from the hotel. Very very good stay in nice quiet area. Overall enjoyable breakfast with tea or bodum coffee and fruit, for example and great service.

Martina, who greeted me, couldn't have been more helpful and kind (and I really appreciated being able to leave my bags at the hotel until the time for my train the next day). I always stay near Cartwright Gardens, as I'm very fond of the area and it's good for the British Library and Kings Cross, but I'd not stayed in the George before. I will definitely come back again - not only is it a great price, but my room was very comfortable and had everything I could have wanted. The opportunity of watching freeview tv and using a computer to check my emails was an unexpected pleasure! My only suggestion would be the option of plain yoghurt for breakfast, for those who can't have milk on their cereal/muesli. Thanks for a great stay.

The location of this hotel was fantastic. Also, the inclusion of a breakfast that you could order to suit (and was brought to your table) was a big step up from similarly priced B&B alternatives in the area.
The communal showers needed better doors/walls around them. The floors of the shower rooms outside the tub were regularly wet or flooded.

It was just a good match for strolling around London with good value. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff handled dietary needs very well. Be ready for steep stairs if you're on the upper floors.

Free breakfast. Free wireless. Free shampoo and soap. Knowledgeable staff could point you in the right direction if you asked. Perfect for young trackers on a budget
I got exactly what I was expecting

Being a lady staying on her own in London, I felt safe staying in this area. The location of the hotel was close to train links and many fast food restaurants where you did not feel conspicuous eating alone, - and there were also many other places to eat within walking distance. I was a bit concerned about the shared facilities, but the shower room was free every morning when I went to use it at 7.15 am, so that was not a problem.
I had a single room which was very small and even though I had a desk, the size of the room made it impossible to sit down at the desk to work in the evenings. I had to sit on the bed to work! Breakfast did not start until 8 am in the mornings, and this was too late for me as I would have been late for my appointments. This was not a problem as there were plenty of places I was able to pick up a takeaway breakfast, however it was a shame that I was not able to use this facility.

good location but outdated facilities
The check-in process was smooth, and the night staff were friendly. The location is ideal, being close to the train station, convenient for my travel. The street view from the hotel was kinda appealing and provided a nice ambiance.
The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing.

You get a friendly welcome and the full English breakfast is served with a friendly smile and is very tasty. This is included in the great price and you can have more of whatever you want. Bed was very comfortable and it is in a great location too!
There are only a couple of things that I can think of. 1) No lift 2) no air con But in fairness it does say this on web site because it is a listed building.

Bit of a climb to the top of the hotel and room was very warm being a warm spring day

The location is great, near to tube station
I was really disappointed with the shower facility. The water flow is really weak, and the temperature of the water kept changing. I think I caught a cold just because of the morning shower. I hope the hotel could do something about that.
